Sangita Dhami scored first and historic gold medal for Nepal in Wrestling under the South Asian Games 2019. Dhami defeated Rime Sarker-Bangladeshi wrestler under 55 kg weight categories wrestling of women’s event.
Under the 57 kg wrestling, Indian Wrestler defeated Nepal for the gold medal.
Under 76 Kg, Priti kapoor, India won the gold and Srilanka scored the Silver.
In the men’s wrestling under 70 kg, Pakistani Aayat Ullah is ranked first, Srilankan Nil second, and Nepalese Suresh Chunara, third, respectively. Likewise, under men’s 79 kg weight, Rehaman from Pakistan, Anaka from Srilanka and Bunnilal from Nepal won the gold, silver and bronze, respectively. In the 97 kg, Indian wrestler -Cadian Satyawarth socred gold, Pakistan’s Ayab scored Silver and Bangladeshi Awala Daraburp scored Bronze medal.
Under men’s 125 KG, Indian wrestler Sumit, Pakistani Wrestler Jaman Anwar ,and Nepalese wrestler, Raj Yadav, respectively won the gold, silver and bronze medal.
